1. Safe Hiking
It is the responsibility of the participants of the hike to learn the necessary skills for safe hiking. All participants must assume responsibility for their own actions and safety, exercise sound judgment, be prepared for all conditions, and seek advice on current weather and current trail conditions.
The information provided by Swiss Muslim Hikes is not to be considered a guide, instead, it is available so that the participant has a general idea of what to expect on the hikes. Swiss Muslim Hikes takes no responsibility nor assume liability for inaccuracies, errors, omission, or incompleteness of any information.
2. Accidental Insurance
Participants are responsible for their own accidental insurance with their insurance provider irrespective of employment or not.
3. Rega
It is recommended to use services provided by Rega in case of emergencies.

4. Hike Leader(s)
Every hike is assigned (a) hike leader(s). Decisions made by the hike leader(s) regarding the itinerary need to be respected in order to ensure a seamless experience for all participants. The itinerary includes but is not limited to hike routes, timings, and breaks.
5. General Etiquette
Standard etiquette is to be maintained during the participation in a hike. Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner, conscious of opposite gender interactions, and respecting the space and privacy of others. Group photos, pauses, and food breaks are to take place in respect of opposite gender spaces. Participants are expected to respect an appropriate dress standard and hiking gear during all times while hiking.
6. Non-Harassment and Discrimination Policy
Swiss Muslim Hikes will not tolerate any harassment or discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, age, national origin, veteran or military status, pregnancy status, sexual orientation, gender identity, cultural affiliation, religion, genetic information, physical or mental disability, personal characteristics or circumstances, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Board members are to ensure the appropriate warnings need to be given during the hike. Participants in violation of the policy can be either red flagged or banned from future hikes.
7. Social Media
Participants are free to post on social media provided it respects the privacy of other hike participants. Permission must be sought if other participants are to be included in social media posts. No photo sharing will be allowed in the temporary Whatsapp group unless it is a group photo or scenery shots for memory keepsake purposes. Photos of personal individuals or groups of friends should be shared among one other to protect the privacy of individuals.
8. Restrictions
Climbing prohibitions, entry restrictions, miscellaneous closures, and other forms of restrictions are to be respected by all participants. Participants are expected to be attentive and read all signs and boards in the area during the hike.
9. Trespassing
Participants are not to deviate from the itinerary (unless the hike leader(s) deem(s) appropriate) or take up a route that is forbidden in order to preserve the environment. This is considered trespassing and may result in a red flag or ban from Swiss Muslim Hikes.
10. Environment
Participants are expected to respect the environment around them inclusive of any flora and fauna. Local, cantonal, and federal rules must be followed in regards to the environment. Littering will not be tolerated. Parking in unauthorized areas is forbidden.
